Using The Library

At Cooper-Siegel, we have books (of course) AND we have e-readers, music, movies, tools and toys to check out, wifi hot spots, the latest magazines, fun and educational programs and a staff that can help you find whatever you’re looking for! If you have a library card from anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania, you’re good to go! And you can get a card (for free!) if you have a current PA driver’s license or state ID at the library or get one online here (click Register in the upper right hand corner). Here are a few other things to know about us:

Get or Renew Your Library Card

If your card is well-loved and looking shabby, ask us for a new one. We’re happy to give you a shiny new card for your wallet and key chain. If you’re a regular library user, your library card will renew automatically. Learn More »

My Library Account

Your online library account is located on the online Catalog website under “My Account.”  It allows you to request and renew materials and gives you access to other borrowing functions. Go to My Account »

Study Rooms and Meeting/Event Spaces

We have spaces for studying, meetings and events available to the public, businesses and non-profits. To reserve one of our spaces, please fill out an online form here. You can also call Information Services at 412-828-9520 x5015 if you have questions or read our CLA Room Rental Policy. More meeting room and event space information here.

Copying, Printing and Faxing

We have a copier/printer station. B/W copies and prints are $.15 ($.50 for color). B/W legal size copies are $.30 ($1.00 color). We also offer e-faxing services at no cost. Please see staff for all printing, copying and e-faxing.

You can print remotely from home or your phone. Email an attachment of what you want printed to coopersiegelcommunitylibrary@gmail.com. You can pick it up at the Information Services desk. Prices above apply. Cash or credit card (for charges over $1) accepted.

Notes on remote printing:

  • documents must be opened by the staff and we take every effort to avoid reading private information
  • emails and documents are deleted immediately after printing or faxing
  • print requests not picked up the same day they are received are deleted
For 3D Printer use, please read our policy.

WiFi

We have superfast wifi that does not require a password. You can access it from our parking lots, garden and porch.

How to connect:

    1. Go to the wireless connection area on your device
    2. Connect to Cooper-Siegel Library network
    3. A page will open with a log-in button. Click that button and you’ll be connected!
