The Full Media Search link gives you access to the online Catalog where you can search for library materials throughout Allegheny County. The link also gives you access to online databases which are alternatives to using the Internet. The subject areas of the databases include U.S. and world history, literature, current events and biographies, among many others. Magazine and journal articles are also accessible. E-resources such as e-books are also available. An Allegheny County public library card is required when using the databases from outside of a public library.
School Reading Lists
The library provides research assistance and access to computers and the Internet at no charge. There are study rooms and study areas throughout the library. Reference help is available from library staff and through online resources. A digital collection of e-books, e-audiobooks and e-videos is available for downloading. Access to some resources will require a library card. Wireless Internet is available in the library as is printing to a library printer from laptops.
